Bläck Tattoo X Old Dutch

Yeehaaaw!! We did it!

I’ve been wanting to do something like this for a long time, and thanks to Alex Hoogstra from Bläck Tattoo in Groningen (the nearby city) and my main man Misha Vesper, it finally happened!

Alex stopped by the workshop the other day to have a Wallenberg wallet made featuring one of her own tattoo flash designs — exactly the kind of custom leatherwork I love doing most.

That got me thinking… how cool would it be if people could actually pick a tattoo design right in the shop, or here on the website, to customize their leather piece?

That’s when Misha jumped in, offering to make leather stamps from Alex’s tattoo designs. So instead of shallow laser engravings that burn and dry out the leather, we’re doing real wet-stamped (debossed) impressions in premium veg-tan leather — the proper way.

We’ve also collaborated on a few one-off pieces, each hand-tooled into the leather using traditional leathercraft techniques.
